Living in the Past
I know Granny Herald is getting old, but I had no idea she was completely senile.
Key butters up Clark with Vogel’s at NY meeting
“NEW YORK – The relationship between Prime Minister Helen Clark and her National Party replacement John Key was anything but stale when the pair met for talks in New York today [emphasis mine]”
The headline conjurers up images that would have been better left undisturbed…
And who the hell is PRIME MINISTER Helen Clark? Does the Herald know something we don’t? Is John Key abdicating? Is Queen Helen coming back to tell us she is not amused?
I checked the date of the article. It was indeed written after the last election.
And what exactly is a National Party replacement? Something one buys at the Warehouse, perhaps? Not quite as good as the original but painted in cheerful colours?
We will now pause while Granny Herald catches up with the past year…

It was a genuine typo.
They meant “Minister past her Prime”

As good a description as any of Key and the Nats.

Well, they skipped one word – “former”.
Maybe they were trying to increase their leadership with those on the left that are still fans of the hollow woman?
Heh, your captcha’s are so often post-appropriate – “time journee”
