Fear of Flying
Just to help everyone put the series of Airbus disasters and near-disasters into perspective, the Russians have finished their investigation into the Aeroflot-Nord Boeing 737-500 that crashed in Russia on September 14 last year, killing 88. Their conclusion:
“(T)he plane’s captain “lost spatial orientation” after he misread an attitude indicator on the Boeing’s instrument panel. The attitude indicator indicates whether a pilot is flying straight and level.
““That led to a banking of the plane onto its left wing, and its entering into an intensive descent and collision with the ground,” the report said, adding that the night-time landing and clouds exacerbated the flying conditions.
“The committee also said an unspecified amount of alcohol was detected in the pilot’s body, and that he was overworked.”
Translation: “The pilot was tired, drunk and didn’t know how to fly the plane”
Gotta love those Russians – they really know how to terrify a tourist….

It is Russia – what do you expect…..
BTW: Where did you get that blog feed on the far right?
The blog feed is a WordPress Plugin called “Feed Reading Blogroll”. It works in a similar fashion to the Blogger one.

So it only works on wordpress blogs – you cannot put it in a regular HTML file…
That’s right. But if you are looking for a blog feed for your personal use, you could just set up your own blog and have only the feed on it. You can even restrict it so that only you can see it.
